Day
1: Morning flight to Trabzon. Transfer
to hotel and lunch. Visit to 14th. century
Sumela Monastery, keeping the remains of
magnificent frescoes, built at an altitude
of 1300 meters in the National Park of Virgin
Mary, and Saint Sophia well preserved 13th.
century Byzantine church, Mosque of Gulbahar
Hatun.
Return back to hotel, dinner and overnight. |
Day
2: Departure after breakfast by
the black-seaside highway towards Russia,
viewing Surmene, Of, Caykara, towns all
enjoying a sub-tropical climate, green settings
and nice traditional style houses, Rize,
typical Black Sea city covered with tea
plantations, Cayeli, Pazar, Ardesen, Arhavi,
Hopa and the Russian border-gate Sarp. Lunch
on the way and visit to a tea factory.
Drive to Camlihemsin and Ayder plateau,
if time permits, before return to hotel.
Dinner and overnight. |

Day
3: Start after breakfast for
Uzungol, lovely alpine lake and lunch
at a trout farm. Stop at Ganita for a
short tea break and watch the fascinating
sunset. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

4: Free morning to explore the
old market place and typical arhitecture
within the still extant fortifications
of Trabzon. Transfer to the airport for
return flight.
